Hello ladies! I had a quick question, Im going to the doctors today to get b/c pills for the first time in years myt concerned is that im still nursing my daughter and Im also worried that if I do go back on the pill wil my period come back? I also heard that it will affect your milk supply really bad. I havent had a priod yet and im loving it!!! LOL I really dont want it back! Any ideas? Thanks!

Yes, they will put you on the mini pill (there are a few kinds: micronor, yasmin). Every woman is different so you may or may not get your period. Who knows. Just know that if you stop BF, you MUST change the pill b/c there is not enough hormone in the mini pill without BF to make sure you do not get pg.

I actually went on the pill about 1 month after giving birth. I was on loestrin (Actually generic form which is micronor) and nothing happened to my supply or anything and yes I did get my period back although it seems a lot lighter than before.

I was on Erinn BC pills. I have not started my period yet either. Erinn has to be taken at the same time each day because the dose is so low so it want interfere with the BM. However I stopped taking them in Dec. because we want to get pregnant if not for that i would still be on them. It did not bother the production of my milk.

I got an IUD, it's great, b/c the hormones go straight into the uterus & not the blood stream, so it doesn't affect supply at all! & I don't have to remember to take a pill, it lasts 5 years, but you can get it taken out at any time, & you're just as fertile!
