My father passed away one year ago today.

It has been a whole year without my father. I try to remember only the good times. Like when me and my brother wanted to pan for gold so he made some of those little plates with holes in them so we could do it while we camped. Or the way me and my brother always made him read the book "The moose with the loose tooth", he hated that book but we loved it. But there were the bad times to but why dwell on them. We got a letter from the VA hospital yesterday expressing their great sadness over my fathers death, yeah I really believe them they are the one who killed him (sorry still a little bitter.

 Last night out of the blue my son Daniel said mommy I miss granddad when can he come back from heaven. I tried not to cry as I told him once again that granddad would not be back. He misses granddad so much. My father was a much better granddad then he was a dad. He use to love bringing cookies to the boys. He was to old by the time the boys got here to really play with them much but wow the love and pride he had for them. I know he would be proud that Daniel is going to play summer ball this year. My dad was a very good ball player back in the day and even played a little pro ball before the war.

Please if you have a father stop and call him, tell him that no matter how bad life has been you are so happy to have him in your life.
