I don't feel as though I have done alot. I don't typically list off my "good deeds", in fact, I prefer to keep it on the quieter side. Maybe I should change my way of thinking and SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS,  if I can inspire someone else , If I can affect one person and they remember the good I am trying to share, maybe they will feel inspired to pass it on 2fold, 10 fold, 100 fold :)

The decision to go to Africa is pretty easy for me. I don't need to think and think and think about it. I think that can hold a lot of people back. I chatted with dh quickly today and he wants me to go. He travels on business sometimes and I have to work around some trips he has planned. We have the childcare situation taken care of, we have a babysitter. (my family is 6 hours away & dh's is in Europe) I checked airfare and dh has a LOT of air miles so I can use those to at least get me to London. DH's family is in London so I can overnight there if need be.

I'm going to apply this week after Paul & I chat. I looked at the application, that looks easy enough, I applied this morning (I should here back with in 48 hrs,  but I'm hoping in the next 12 hours (it's 8 am in New Zealand,  where GVN Global Volunteer Network is located) .... I have no disabilites or allergies or criminal record so hopefully it's just one step to bring me closer to a life changing experiece.

I have been reading the journals, I just want to be there. I don't think I can go until mid Sept or Nov.

I'll let you know and everyone else once we decide.

Thanks Rocky,  I never could have dreamed this was possible for me. It was always something I wanted to do,  but NEVER seemed realistic until THIS week :)

Wow!  What an awesome decision!

I want to hear more about it... and about the process involved with making it happen.  Please keep us up to date on how things are going...and about your emotional journey as you get ready to go.

Those are the things that will help inspire other mothers to start their own journey to do more!!!

You Go Girl!!  You follow your dreams and aspirations.  I take my hat off to you!  You are a brave and courageous woman.  That is awesome, how you want to go and make a difference and you are actually going to take action!!!! whooooo hoooooooooo.Laughing How very fulfilling it will be for you.

I am reminded of that song, Waitin on the World to Change.  Many of us usually are.  We have good thoughts and intentions but then neve rmake a move, we are waiting for someone else.  That someone to start needs to be us!  and YOu are making it happen. What a great passion you have!  I would love to hear more about your trip in the future.  God bless you for your heart.
