Jeans below the waist

Ever since the low-rise jean came out several years ago, I haven't been able to find a good fitting pair of jeans. I simply cannot figure out how 'just below the natural waist' or low-rise is supposed to stay up. I never wear bests b/c they are too confining, so all these types of jeans naturally slide down. If they aren't on the waist, supposedly the smallest part, and they are on the bigger part, logic says that they won't stay put. There's nothing there to catch them from slipping.

Now I know the 'hang below your butt and let your undies show' is very popular now, but COME ON!! I don't want to buy a pair of jeans to always keep pulling them up.

Am I the only one with this issue?

Everybody else looks like they are happy with their jeans and like it was easy for them to select.

I got rid of all my mom jeans a few years ago....

I understand that there is a large percentage of young girls that where them - so they hang down inappropriately. I have found that Gloria Vanderbilt has a great line that is trendy and supportive and looks great.

I am petite and I am able to wear a lot of the younger fashions... I have a pair of Levi's that are a boot cut and hang by my waist. They have become my favorite....

Oprah did a fantastic show a couple of years ago about getting rid of the "mom" jeans and - gotta admit she was right - The mom jeans make your but seem long and the "new " jeans have some very good points - it's just like any trend... you have to find your own "fit" in it.

Please consider looking through the archives on Oprah.com or What not tho wear... they cover the essential with jeans and such....

I found some jeans that did not make my butt look long or misshapen, actually , they made me look like I had a butt, which I do not. I found them in Kohls. One pair was a Levi pair and the other Sonoma. Good luck.
