When I weighed in on Jan. 26 I had this great weight loss and I was really excited. When I weighed in on Feb. 9 I gained .4 and I was even more excited! Now I know this sounds crazy but let me give you a little back ground.
I go to Weight Watchers and weigh in every Saturday morning. I knew I wouldn't be able to weigh in on Feb 2. so I got on my scale Feb. 1st in the morning and discovered that I had stayed the same. That morning I also left for a 3 day trip to a Christian Camp with a group of 20 middle school kids.
Our first stop along the way was IN-n-Out Burger, where we had lunch. I then spent the next 3 days subject to the food that the camp provided. On Sunday, we left and ended up stoping at Carl's Jr. for dinner on the way home.
The rest of my week was pretty crazy. I spent 2 days at Kaiser hospital with my son, (they think he might have fractured his elbow), I only made it to the gym once and I barely had time to get in my workouts at home.
All of this could have produced disasterous results on the scale, but there were so many other factors that I feel I must mention.
1. Passed up the donuts that were available before we left for the camp.
2. Filled up on fruit at breakfast and bypassed the bacon.
3. Walked through the snow to get everywhere in the camp.
4. Did some floor exercises in the cabin and passed on the late night snacks.
5. Planned out my breakfast for the whole week and stuck to it.
6. Finally cleaned the back room and set up my Total Gym and actually used it.
7. Went and weighed in even though I knew I would probably weigh more.
The point of all this is to say that even though the scale showed a gain, I felt like a WINNER! It let me know that I can enjoy life and still be successful. .4 could have been 4.4. It also motivated me to really step everything up this week.
