I had the oddest thing happen to milk that I had expressed. I'm hoping someone may know the answer to my situation.
On Wednesday I had the flu, I was over it within 24 hours. On Thursday morning I pumped milk that I use for my DD's cereal. We used some of that bottle on Thursday and it was fine. We used more of that same bottle on Sunday morning (only 3 days in the fridge) and to my dismay the milk had spoiled.
I know the milk did not set out
I know it was only reheated once
I know it was only 3 days old
Normally my expressed milk will last for 7 days in the fridge and be fine. I did not take any meds with the cold I had earlier in the week. Is it possible that having the cold the day prior did something to my milk that made is spoil quicker that usual?
