Today was an interesting day as mother. This morning, my innocent  2 and a half old baby was sitting on the counter in his boppy chair. (Oh yes, on a high surface, naughty me!) I ate my breakfast, meanwhile talking to him. He eyed my banana with curiousity. I gave in and he absolutely loved it. It was so cute to see him just munching down on it like it was his bottle. He'd release it and smile at me every so often. Lesson learned today: If I shelter my kid from everything it doesn't make me a good mom. Breaking down and doing little naughty things with him every so often won't kill him.

No rash, no bellyache, nothing... just pure joy. =)

After our breakfast, we ventured to Babies R Us to buy a highchair. Lately he has loved sitting with us during meal times but his boppy chair takes up far too much room and nobody really wants to hold a 14lb baby all through dinner. I found one I absolutely loved... it's the Evenflo Majestic Jungle... 8 height positions, 3 recline positions, toys, etc. It's wonderful and my baby absolutely loved it. Daddy put it together with only a few frustrating moments and Gabey spent almost 30 minutes playing in it.

Gabe really needs to get used to going out. Since we've basically been home based since we came home, I think it's stressful for him to go out. We are due to go back to daycare soon, and he does wondeful there when we're part time. He sleeps through ANY noise here. However, anytime we take him out of the house he's cranky and hungry(even if I made sure he ate his entire bottle BEFORE we left). I think we're tense because he's crying in public, which only makes it worse.

Yay for naughty mommy times & beautiful baby smiles. =)
