Suicide

I found out today that a friend of mine's girlfriend committed suicide. I justt can't understand why people do this. She left a note so luckily there wasn't the consideration of a murder scene. The police could tell it was suicide, however she didn't die until 4 days later. I called my friend, he was in the hospital 4 days last week with his heart. It was probably stress. When I talked with him he said he was talked out about the suicide, sadly he found her. We talked about nothing really, I just wanted him to know I cared. You never know what to say in situations like this but I told him to call if he needed to talk or just needed a lift. Hopefully he will. I don't want to be a pest, I believe he knows I'm a true friend so if I don't hear from him in a few weeks, I'll check on him again. Thanks for listening!

Wow, that is very sad! I too am very confused as to why people take their own lives! It's a terribly selfish thing to do, really. It causes so much pain to the family/friends left behind. I hope your friend can find healing thru God.

I was stopping by on my road trip and this post jumped out at me.  I am so sorry that this happened.  My family has been going through this in the last year.  My youngest brother is a junior in college and last winter his best friend since like kindergarden tried to kill himself.  He thankfully lived.  Then this summer his best friend at college shot himself in the head and died a few days later.  He didn't leave a note or anything.   My brother is having such a hard time.  They were getting an apartment together this year and he said that everyday there is a reminder that Jessie isn't there anymore.  It's so horrible.  I feel so bad for all his friends and esp his family.  They will never know why this happened.  How sad.  I hope that he can someday move on and find love again.
