i will not complain today.  i will not.  nope.  not not....

 

ok, i will.  goddamn.  how can you not notice when your babies are sick?  how????  they all fell asleep with cold meds pumping through them last night, and they all had fevers.  i came home from work today to find the house empty of sick children.  why?  he sent all three of them to school.  when i got there, one was leaning on his hand and staring into space (which may be normal for some kids, but not this one), one had no voice (but was still trying to yell anyway), and the third had such a sore throat, she hadn't spoken all morning.  they all had pale skin, hot foreheads, and bright fever-eyes. 

i have remedied the situation.  i pulled them back out of school and they are on the couch under their favorite fluffy blankets, hugging mugs of cocoa, vegging in front of animaniacs.  the way all sick babies should be.  poor t'ings.  i seriously no longer need a husband.  i need a wife.

 

which brings me to mah dogs.  well, not really, but i'm changing subjects without a blinker.  check out my new boots.  (if you cross your eyes, you can see two of them.)  i can't wait 'til they get here.  how sad is it that i get excited over work boots?  hey, i got a great deal AND free shipping.  and now i can actually wear my boots to work instead of wearing my slip-on chucks and changing into my boots with the steel shanks after i go through the metal detector.  these are metal free composite-toe boots and they have a heel air cushion and removeable (read: washable) footbed liner.  dude.  AND they're converse.  i think i'm in love.

I like the boots! I don't think it's weird to get excited over boots. I posted pics of my thrift store jacket the other day. Hehhee.

I hope the babies are better soon.
