Grrr...I hate these things. Well, unless I'm using them, haha. Why do I dislike them so much? People use them so much & don't pay attention to what they're doing. In my city, they just made a law saying that they are not allowed to be used in school zones. Come one people, those are our kids that we're talking about walking the streets going back & forth to school.  Would you enjoy being called & hearing that your child has been hit or even worse just because some stupid jerk couldn't wait to get home & talk on the phone in their hous?. I have heard that some driver hit some guy & his leg got broken all due to the ignorance of some driver on his/her cell phone. Grrr..   As for me, I'm a cashier at one of your local stores and people are on them 24/7 it seems like!! Some have even forgotten their items all due to the stupid cell phone. Oh, and have you noticed that the people around you can hear almost your entire conversation? I have heard about one lady's divorce proceedings & other so-called private conversations. I mean...what if I had been a friend of the soon to be ex-husband? I think people do not think of these things. One guy even forgot his Starbucks & he made it seem like it was our fault!! Perhaps I should have a firewall in my lane, haha. That would stop them, haha.  Yeah, I know that I have a mean side.

I agree with you on the cell phone thing.  A few years ago, a young driver hit a little 5 year old boy and killed him as he got off of his school bus.  The driver's phone was ringing, she was reaching down on the floor to retrieve it, and didn't see the bus stop with it's flag out.

I work as a waitress part-time and I actually get people that try to order while they are on their phone.  I just tell them: "I'll be right back."  I am not going to stand there while they talk and try to order at the same time.  I know it's different for a cashier though.
