Ok.....So here I go.....My first real post one here.....and it is not going to be pretty!!  So.....as some of you many know I am experiencing back issues right now.  That color was making me dizzy!!  Anyway, I hurt myself over a week ago lifting my baby(1 1/2) out of his crib.  I have NO idea how or what I did BUT it is the worst pain.....worse than labor....no joke....I have sciatica with both kids.....and this pain is 100 times worse.....so I know something is really wrong.  I dont have a Primary care dr....(I know I need one)....so I went to a walk in.....they gave me meds(muscle relaxers and ibprophen 800) to take and if it wasnt better this past mon to go in for a follow up.  Keep in mind I am out of work, hubby is working 12 hr days and I have 2 kids.....not cool to take into a walk in.  Not too mention the $50(yes 50) copay.  So.....I call back on Sat.....5 days after my initial visit....the perscribe me vicodin next.....it helps the pain....for about 30 mins at a time.....BUT......makes me crazy!!  I am so out of it when I take it and I cant be like that with two kids home.  So, I try to cut it in half.....still makes me loopy.   So anyway......I find a primary care dr....who cannot see me until next Thursday....SO I have to call the walk in to get an extension on my dr note.....bc I cannot waitress with my back like this.....they tell me I need to be seen again to get another note.....so I am just annoyed and feeling so crappy.  I was working out 5 times a week and feeling great....the kids and I had a great routine and now we are stuck at home!!  I am not working so we are really tight on our finances......its scary!!  I am just so stressed out!!  I feel the need to vent on here bc I have to get it all out.  My friends who do not have children or a mortgage dont understand!!

           Thanks for reading......Jenn

Oh Jenn, I'm so sorry for you! Did you go back to the walk-in? I swear, the health care system in this country is so messed up right now, it's has to be fixed! You're not alone in not having a PCP. I keep nagging my sons to do it before something happens to them.

Really what a PCP will do is refer you to someone who can treat your back. Are the muscle relaxers helping?
