Outside my window...

...lies a thickening blanket of snow.  There stands a great Mr Maple tree naked for the winter with his bare branches dancing in the breeze.  White on the north side from Monday's snow, gaining a layer of white on the south from todays flurries.  Around him are the signs of new drifts growing.  His tire swing sways to it's own wintry music, one that has been a long song this year.  The piles from the past weeks getting a fresh coat of white to remind us of the beauty of just fallen snow.  I see no new animal prints as the dogs have taken cover in the barn while the cats snooze away in the old hayloft.  Oh yes, winter in Iowa, it's been a crazy one this year.  All I request is please no snow day tomorrow!!!!!
