Pancakes

So who ever thought pancakes would spark a jounral entry? I never did. However, I wanted to share what happened yesterday.

Last night we had breakfast for dinner, pancakes and bacon. Hubby and I started dinner while Haidn was still napping. Well I was putting away dishes so I had a space to mix the pancakes up. So what does hubby do? He doesn't listen to me when I say I will start them in one minute and goes off and makes pancake mix across the room. He then starts making the pancakes. Now for normal people this wouldn't be a problem. But for me, it caused a meltdown. I ALWAYS make the pancakes. It is one of the few routines that I am set in (thank you autism). So I have a huge meltdown while he is making pancakes just because he is. Stupid huh? That's what I was thinking. I knew it was stupid to have a meltdown over pancakes but I couldn't help it. I just kept thinking that I'm no use if I don't make the pancakes even if I did sweep and do the dishes and watch our son and everything else I do. It was important to me at that moment, only the pancakes were. What fun it is to be me.

Feb. 29, 2008 at 11:29 PM It happens. I know it sucks. I've had moments like that too. Why is it when you don't necessarily want/need their help that hubbys give it? One more thing I will never understand about men! LOL!
