Having a daughter is so much fun; with that comes the wonderful question of "When are you going to get her ears pierced?" My husband and I have talked about it, and I would like to do it sooner rather than later because right now she really doesn't play with her ears and I think it would be easier to care for versus when she's older and can squirm even more than she can now. My husband however is very hesitant to get it done. I think if I had an idea of what others have done it might help. It's not that I'm opposed to waiting but thought that it would be ok to do it now. I was about her age when I had mine done (Jordyn is 10 months old.) If there are moms out there who have already had their daughters ears pierced how did the experience go, and where did you get them pierced at?

We haven't gotten Livi's ears pierced yet- we're also going to wait until she is old enough to ask for it to be done- I really don't think it's a big deal if you choose to do it now, we just feel like she should make her own call about if she wants it done or not. I have heard that pediatricians will do it in the office, and it may be a better idea to check into that since she's so young- you can guarantee that the equipment is sterile and safe. Hope that helps!

I have 4 girls...each had their ears pierced at various ages, speaking from experience, it is so much easier to do them while they are small. My youngest daughter was 6 months old when she had them done and she never plays with her earrings. One of my other girls was 7 when she had them done and the kid plays with them all the time. She keeps making her ears infected and constantly loses her earrings. We had them done at Claire's/Wal-Mart and some hairdressers do it too.
