I feel like an idiot

On Thursday and Friday night I couldn't get my laptop to work.  I discovered that the cleaners had turned off my power strip for the computer so I turned it back on and the computer powered up but the external monitor still wouldn't come on.  I was thinking that my wireless mouse died so this morning I got fed up & impulsively ran to walgreens to buy a new mouse.  I got home, plugged it in & still no monitor.  After a few minutes I realized that I just had to hit the function/monitor key & wallah....it works!!  So I just wasted $15.00 on a mouse that I didn't need.  DUH!!  This should give you a laugh for the day!
