So Owen has been complaining of pains for about a week now.  It started last weekend when he said his arms and legs hurt.  I chalked it up to growing pains.  Then he spiked a fever so I thought it was just normal aches and pains that come with being sick.  We don't have a working thermometer so I have no idea how high his fever was but at one point he was very hot to the touch and it was obvious he was sick.  He missed 2 days of school (the Friday before last and then last Monday) because of his fever and complaining of migraines (which he gets and doesn't make that stuff up).

Then last week the pains moved to his back and his abdomen.  He came home from school in tears saying his back hurt so much.  So he took some Motrin and went to bed.  He was okay after school Wednesday until the baby jumped on him and then he startred saying his tummy and back hurt again but was fine after some Motrin and some quiet time. He seemed okay on Thursday and Friday other then feeling warm to the touch and still saying his legs hurt.

Now today he has started to complain of pain in his groin area (the insides of his thighs).  He was laughing and being silly but hobbling around the house like he pulled a muscle except he hasn't done anything.  He said he was fine before his nap and now it hurts...a lot and he has another headache.  He's had headaches almost every day this past week and a couple of migraines.

Now I'm starting to worry.  He hasn't been himself really all week, has had a fever off and on (mostly on) all week and these pains.  His legs, arms, ankles, back, abdomen and now his groin.  I can't tell if they are all related or he was having and growing pains and then was sick on top of it so was all achy.  This groin thing worries me since he hasn't done anything active that could have pulled a muscle so there has to be something else causing the pain.

He's actually wanting to go to the doctor.  Almost begging to go so he must be hurting so he'll be going after school on Monday unless he is too miserable then he'll miss school to go.  I just don't know what it could be.

My kids are rarely sick and never with more then a stuffy nose, cough and maybe a sore throat.  We've never had a serious illness so we're not used to this stuff.  The only sick visits we've had in 7 1/2 years have been for pink-eye so we could get drops for them.

I says it hurts to touch the area but he is always laughing when he talks about.  This morning he seems fine and last night he was wakling okay again.  It is so hard to tell if there is something wrong or he has other motives.  He's only 6.

I do think there is something wrong but he is blowing it out of proportion either to get more attention or to get out of school which is unusual because he loves school.

Meagan is complaining of a sore throat again so something is going around.  She frustrates me to no end.  The second I walk out of my room this morning she is in my face screaming that she needs Tylenol because her throat hurts.  I had to pee like crazy and just said "no" and kept going.  At that point I had no idea what she was screaming about and I tend to just block it out that early in the morning.  After I went to the bathroom I realized what she had asked and I was laughing because her throat hurt so bad but she is screaming at her brother to pick up his mess.  Ugh.  She drives me nuts.  I never know if she is exagerating or not, either.  She says now she is soooooo sick and it hurts and blah blah blah but if her friend were to call and ask her to come over she would suddenly be just fine, you know.

Kids...their always playing an angle or something.
