I recently responded to a post where a young mom was lonely because her husband worked a lot and she didn't really have a support system with her family.  I could totally relate to her story and this was my response....

I wrote an article that I submitted to a local Christian publication a few months ago called, "Mom! Get a Life!"

I called it that because when I got really depressed a couple years ago because my husband was working about 80-90 hours a week, I thought I was going to lose my mind being home with little kids all day all by myself in a huge new city we just moved to... and everyone told me that I needed to get a life...

Well, I had no idea how to do that.  But I figured it out (for me) by trial and error and so I wrote that article to share my journey to get a life!! ha!

I also share my story on YouTube in a speech I gave which shows the ridiculous trial and error like thinking that getting on tv would make me happy... we were guests on Dr. Phil for my daughter's thumbsucking problem which was really cool but didn't bring the desired happiness...

Here's my speech... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=967j_Nkny3I

I hope that helps!  I wanted to turn my 2 year depression and how I beat it into an experience that could help other moms.
