i have labels and chartsand reminders up all over my house. my house looks like a kindergarden classroom. " put the toilet seat down" , charts for good and bad behavior, all done check lists. you name it, i got it.  my teenagers are always saying " take it down mom, my friends are coming over". my teenagers didnt have checklists so its very strang to them. anyways, the other day i picked my daughter up from her play rehearsal and she looked at me so funny. when we got in the car, she said " did you even brush you hair today?" itwas a very busy day and i didnt even realize that i had forgotten to brush my hair after my shower that morning! i looked in my car mirror and my hair was a mess. ( my hair is really long so when i say mess, i mean it!!)   the next morning i got up and went to the bathroom to start my daily grooming process and there was my own chat that my daughter must have made while i was trying to get my little ones to bed. this is what it said

moms daily check list

1. take a shower and dont forget the soap

2. brush your teeth and use toothpaste.

3. get dressed in clean clothes and try not to wear sweats every day of the week!

4. put makeup on if possible.

5. please remember to brush your hair, especially if you are picking your daughter up in front of the school where her friends will see you!!

love your daughter

p.s. dont forget to take your vitamins!!!

my daughter thinks shes funny. im going to tease my hair up really good before i pick her up today. ive got to teach her that i am the queen of funny in our house!!! i cant wait. its good to be mom!!

Mar. 13, 2007 at 1:27 PM Hey girl I can totally relate.  I used to rely on mental notes that would remind me throughout the day what I needed to do.  Then I went to tying a sting on my finger to remember.  At my age I have to make actual lists to remember what I need to pick up at the store.  So go ahead girl.  Tease that hair and wear it tall.  Just don't forget where to pick your daughter up from.Kiss
