Hamburger Stroganoff

¾ cup chopped green onions and tops
1 clove garlic, minced
1 – 8 oz can mushrooms, drained and chopped
½ cup butter
1 lb ground chuck
½ to ¾ cup sherry or red wine
3 Tbsp lemon juice
1 can beef consommé
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2/3 pkg egg noodles
1 – 8 oz carton sour cream

Saute onions, garlic, and mushrooms in melted butter.  Add meat and brown.  Drain excess fat.  Add liquids, salt and pepper.  Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.  Add uncooked noodles and cook with lid on until tender. Add sour cream.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  4 – 6 servings.
