Okay - so I found this info online where you can rent solar power...interesting. I've always thought it would be nice to have solar power in my home but when I called around I found that the price was way too high, tens of thousands of dollars. I heard that and was like - sorry, no thanks. I can't afford that - no matter how much I like the idea of going green that is just too much for me.
So back to my opening statement - a company is now renting the equipment to homeowners who want to go solar but can't afford it. Your monthly rent is set at a rate you lock in when you get started....the rate is based on your average electric rate based on the previous 12 months. That rate is locked in for the term of your contract....there are 3 options for the rental contract. 1-year, 5-year and 25-year.
Okay so I was like - why haven't I heard of this before? Well, I learned it's because the company is still in the developmental phase. Production and installation isn't available until the end of 2008/early 2009. Instead of spending money on advertising the company is networking, spreading the word through Independant Ecopreneurs who are trained to assist you in this great opportunity.
Are you ready to go green? On average each home that goes solar reduces greenhouse gas emissions in amounts equivalent to the absorption capacity of 400 trees, or what is produced by 24 cars! You can be a part of the solution to pollution...In fact, I was soo impressed by this start up company I became an Independent Ecopreneur. Every year my family does something new to better our planet - this year we're going solar. So check it out - ask me questions - make a difference! www.jointhesolution.com/247solar
