| "We are not evil. We don't harm or seduce people. We are not dangerous. We are ordinary people like you. We have families, jobs, hopes, and dreams. We are not a cult. This religion is not a joke. We are not what you think we are from looking at T.V. We are real. We laugh, we cry. We are serious. We have a sense of humor. You don't have to be afraid of us. We don't want to convert you. And please don't try to convert us. Just give us the same right we give you--to live in peace. We are much more similar to you than you think." i could never be pagan (or any other religeon for that matter) but i like you home page you seem like a very intelligent and interesting person.
Did you know that paganism is what there was before there was. And most people dont think about it hard enough , but what others like to call spells are actually just prayers, okay they are a different kind of prayer but still the same . and that Most people dont know that a lot of the rituals they use in what likes to be termed normal religion was actually taken from the earliest beliefs of so called pagans. take for instance the catholics light candles for their prayers well so do we . the Hindu light incense well so do we . I could write a book on the similarities. Also as it is coming up Easter the death and rebirth of Christ well we have always had OSTERA the death of winter and the rebirth of spring .
But you have to look at the politics of it . If all religions got along . then who would be able to send you to hell ? lol . sorry just a joke .
my daughter was put in ISS last week because she took her BOS to school. and the teacher told her if she didn't believe in " GOD " then she would go to hell.
We just talk about it and usually just brush it off. My baby girl has a t-shirt that says ...
Stupidity is acceptable because you just dont know . Ignorance is not because you just dont care.
It's a good quote. There are way too many similarities in far too many religions. I look for the oneness. Therefore, I am not defined by a religion, but rather alligned with being connected to Creator.
You bring up a very interesting point because sometimes people can become so caught up in defining their beliefs that they forget the truth of their spiritual path, which is making that connection with Divine energy...no matter how they may define this Divine energy.
Great post B! I wonder what the Christians will do when the next big religion comes along and we start referring to them as something perceived as sinister and clandestine?
