A Little About Me

I am a mother of a 2 year old boy.  I am also pregnant with another boy.  About a week after I found out I was pregnant, the father of the pregnancy was watching my 2 year old while I was at work.  My precious little boy ended up in the hospital with a broken leg and multiple bruises.  The doctor's and police say it was most likely the cause of child abuse.  I have since seperated from the father/abuser and am looking at adoption for the child I am pregnant with.  It is the only way that I can ensure that my babies are safe.  I also have absolutely no way of affording 2 children at this time either. 

 That's my sob story... but on the bright side, my 2 year old is doing well and is getting beyond the emotional upheaval that came with the abuse.  He has physically healed as well.

Noah is a little sweetheart, how could anyone hurt him. I wish you healing in your pain and peace in your decision. You will come through this.

Hello,

I am so sorry to hear about your child being injured due to abuse.  I worked for DCFS for many years and it was very difficult to see moms continue to stay with the abusers and put their child at risk.  I am so proud of you to step up and keep your child safe by leaving this man.  Best of luck to you with your upcoming adoption as well.  If I could have an ounce of your strength I would be set for life!!!
