One of the things I am very passionate about is toxins and how they affect our health and our lives.  March is Poison Control Awareness Month with the 3rd week in March being Poison Control Awareness Week.  About a month ago I received an email from a friend that was so excited to know that 409 can be used as a bug killer.  I don't understand the excitement, I was horrified!  The only thing I could picture in my mind was her, and so many other people in America, "cleaning" their homes with bug killer.  In my mind that's the same thing as if they went out and bought a can of Raid and started "cleaning" their home with it!  There's a reason that 409 kills bugs, some of its ingredients are carcinogenic to animals.  Carcinogenic means causing or tending to cause cancer.  Knowing this I could NEVER clean with 409, I love my pets too much!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO KEEP YOUR HOME FREE OF POISONS AND TOXINS?

I have a good friend who is an RN.  She and some of her medical friends have put together two websites that give you more information about poisons and toxins and how harmful they can be.  The websites even tell you how you can google any product in your home and find out for yourself how toxic it might be and what safety requirements are required to be used in schools and businesses because of their safety hazard status.  They don't publish these warnings for using it the home.  Government Laws don't require it.

My health has been very poor for many years.  When I found out about these toxic chemicals, got them out of my home and replaced them with quality non-toxic cleaners my health started to improve.  I've been using them for 2 years now.  Everyone's health in my family has improved.  We get sick less often, my daughter's allergies have improved, and my son and I have been able to stop using our asthma inhalers.  I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO POISONING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY!   The websites my friend helped to create are below along with my email address.  I would be glad to tell you how and where I found my quality non-toxic cleaners.  They are even less expensive than the poison I used to buy at Walmart.

Mar. 15, 2008 at 7:39 PM I so agree with toxin awareness.  I am lovin' these new cleaning supplies like babyganics, and seventh generation, and I absolutely prefer cleaning with baking soda and vinegar and lemon.  GO GREEN!!!!!!!!
