Have you heard of this...eating "dead" food? This is something new to me but it's starting to make an impact on what I'm eating.
"Dead" food is food that has been killed and cooked...like hamburgers, chicken, processed food, etc. There's no "life force" left in what you're eating so there's no value to it. It doesn't bring any "life" to your body when you eat it.
People who follow a raw food diet know what I am talking about here. Like I said, this is something new for me and I need to learn more about it. But it has started having an impact on my food choices.
The other day, I was going through the "fast food" line...I know this isn't good but life moves fast, and sometimes it's just not possible to get dinner on the table. Anyway, my kids always get the same thing and I was thinking about what I wanted. I usually opt for the hamburger because you can have that on weight watchers and I figure if it's good enough for them , then it should be good enough for me.
But then I started thinking about it...the hamburger...and what it looked like...and I frankly could NOT imagine eating it. Just look at a hamburger sometime....it really doesn't look like it would taste good...it looks...DEAD!
So I ordered a salad instead. And I felt good about my choice. I felt like I had really made a breakthrough in my eating habits!
Now, if I could just look at chocolate this way...I'd have it made!

So, does raw meat count? Im not sure I understand what "dead food" encompasses. People think Im crazy cause I like most of my proteins as raw as possible. Fish, beef, etc. Is that still dead?
