Planning a wedding!

Wow!  So my Mom calls me up and says that her on-again-off-again bf of like 16 yrs asked her again to marry him.  No biggie he does that alot.   A little background, my kids already call him grandpa, they have been together on and off since I was like 12 or 13, he moves in with her, or vice versa, they break up, dont speak, then start again.  Well.....this time she said YES!!!!!  So my sis and I are gonna be planning a wedding!!!!!  They want a mid-June wedding.  I went looking on Ebay, and found a beautiful vintage 40's dress, sent it to mom to look at.  My sis will make the cake, her MIL will make potato salad and macaroni salad, we'll have sandwiches, coffee, punch....and not really sure what else.  Any suggestions?  Help!  I havent planned  a wedding in many many years(hubby and I have been married 11 as of yesterday).  I have no clue as to what else to have/do.

Mar. 22, 2008 at 6:31 PM I would pick wild flowers or take flowers out of your flower gardens, or just go very simple flowers from your flower store. I hope that helps

does not sound like any reason to do tradition, it is not a 1st marriage......try some thing different. i know it is a woman's drean to have a "great" wedding everytime. But obviously they already know how much they love each other. do something original. if you wanted to get married to your hubby all over again. what would you do for your wedding?

Mar. 22, 2008 at 6:36 PM Well for her first wedding(my dad) they just got married in front of the justice of the peace(in army greens), stopped at a hotel for the night, and were back to work the next day.  And he's been married 5( yes 5 ) times, she will be #6.

Mar. 25, 2008 at 8:40 PM wow! i am in the midst of planning a wedding w/ my daughter who is looking at oct 24.  she wants the fairy tale on a pauper's budget.  that aside, have fun w/ whatever you do.  anything really is possible.  Ask your mom what she envisions, and then brainstrom.  figuring out how many people will strongly determine where it must take place.  and of course, what is the budget?  and what is included in that budget?  my daughter has taken since september to even figure out a date, and it's tentative since we still don't have confirmed hall at same site.  (my church, YAY!)  once she firms that, and deposit is made, i can move forward w/ the other stuff.  same goes for you!  DATES!    keep us in touch as it can be fun to do this togheter.  one thing i know we are splurgin on is a photo booth!  guests go in a get theri pic done; one for you, one for them.  the silly stuff/ 4 strip.  popular on east coast anyway.   other than that, nothing else is fixed or set.
