From a full time mom of one to a full time mom of three!

This last week my step-kids were at the house with us for their spring break. It was pretty uneventful for them since I had the flu almost all week. This morning they were supposed to be flying back home but instead they were enrolling in school here in Kyle.

Early Sunday morning their three bedroom home burned to the ground! They have nothing but the clothes they flew here with. Their mom is okay and their little brother was burned but will be okay. Thank God that they were here for spring break and did not get hurt in the fire! I feel so sad for them!They feel out of place here! I wish I had the means to decorate their rooms better and to buy them all the new clothes they want! But we don't. Never the less, they are here and safe. I am just having a hard time adjusting to all of this. I know in time all will be better.

I KNOW THIS WILL BE AN ADJUSTMENT BUT GOD HAS PLANS FOR US  WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. HEY TALK TO A NEWSPAPER OR SOMETHING OR MAYBE EVEN A TV NEWS CREW AND TELL THEM THE STORY. THEY MAY GET SOME THINGS ROLLING FOR YOU. THESE KIDS DESERVE SOME HELP. LET'S GET GOING ON CAFE MOM ALSO. MAKE THIS POPULAR LADIES TO HELP THESE POOR CHILDREN.

jesus. that is awful. i am so sorry that happened to them. was anything salvageable? you should totally get hooked up on freescale.org. it's basically a craigslist, but everyone gives it away. you could just put up a post listing what you want and someone will contact you. at the same time you'd peruse the "offer" posts. totally simple & free.

What size clothes do you need? Please, let me know if I can help. Anything.

You're an awesome woman and you can definitely be a great mommy to them. If anything, they can probably help you out as well. Hang in there.

Gosh! What do you need?

Post everything!!! - furniture needed, sizes of clothes... types of toys... you know we can hunt down anything! Freescale, goodwill, our own homes!!! The neighborhood garage sale in this area is sure to have a bunch of kids stuff! Make a list and post it!

I can decorate kids rooms! I love to paint and now I can!

I have a new full size box spring (but no mattress)  in my garage you can have for sure. I have twin sheets I was about to get rid of...

Also, is there anything we can do for YOU?
