Calling the cops & animal control on my neighbors!  I cant tell you how many times I've been outside with my kids & they come flying in my street (its a small cul de sac) to pull into their driveway.  I swear they have to be doing at least 30mph.  What if one of the kids is in the street? They wont stop in time!!!!  I always tell my son to walk across the lawns to get to his friends (which is right next door--these people are 3 houses away) but I think the friends mother dont want them on the lawn or something because the two boys always take the street!  I tell them... you guys, grass comes back, you guys wont!!!  I just dont know if I have enough reason to call the cops...

then about animal control, I cant let my own dog out sometimes... they have what looks like a chow/sheeba inu (sp?)... medium size & I have a chihuahua... the size of my foot!  They just let their dog roam!  My other neighbors have a king charles spaniel & another type & have canine fence (an underground invisible fence) in their front yard, so I put my invisible fence in the back yard.... but everytime I let my dog out, Here comes their dog... roaming all over the place!  Ive even seen him 1/2 way up to my inlaws which is 1/2 a mile away from us!!!  That dog has come in my garage, during Christmas we were out doing decorations & the dog came running at my 6 year old son & I!  Im not afraid of dogs, but its a strange dog!!  I chased him away, but they have absolutely no consideration for the rest of us! Do you think I have a case here with either of these situations?

Mar. 25, 2008 at 8:48 AM You can call the police and tell them you're concerned about the speed limit being broken in your residential area. The police generally set up speed traps about 2-3 times a month in our neighborhood since the speeding issue was addressed. As for the dog, you can call animal control when you see the animal roaming free and hope the pound shows up before the dog makes his way back home. Unless there is a leash law in your area I don't think they'll do much more than put the dog in the pound until your neighbors pick him back up.

Ugh - that sucks.  RE: the neighbors driving - you can call the police non emergency line and see what they recommend.  They may/may not do anything - but I say it's worth a shot.

As far as the dog goes - the next time he's out - call on him.  Is there a leash law?  He shouldn't be free to roam- you never know what can happen.  Some animals are wierd - just like some people are.  Better safe than sorry.  I definitely say you have a case with this one!!!

Heck YES!

The people across the street are the same way. They have been ticketed numerous times... Last one was court and $1000 fine or JAIL!

Check your city ordinance for pets, i.e..dogs. and see what it says. Also..... I would just call the police ans see what they say.. Ask questions.... See what your rights are.
