going crazy

my 18 year old has stepped all over my heart and i dont know what to do with him trying to get through the days is hard cause its all i can think about.i need help and i need it fast.how do you love and hate your kid all at the same time????

The most we can do as parents is our best, cross our fingers, and eventually they will leave the nest and fly on their own. I've seen some of the worst kids come from the best of homes, so never blame yourself if they make wrong choices!

 I currently have a 12 year old going on 13 that I chased the school bus all the way to school on his first day, and love him to death, but fantasize sometimes when he gets under my skin of moving out. Hahaha, it is natural...

Mar. 25, 2008 at 12:15 PM This is a tuff age, so many mothers and fathers are going through this.... its hard...  and it can affect any family......  My SIL and her husband are even mormons.... really religious, did everything right, but they started having big trouble with their 18 yr old daughter, and 19 yr, old son, - the son joined the army and the daughter has been kicked out of the house for the 2nd time......  My BIL is a dentist with his own office, and SIL is RN Nurse.... ---  I mean from the outside, they did everything right.,.... I'm just saying it can happen to any parent......  ---  It will get better, they eventually grow up...........  its just very hard on you.....  ---  try to get a hold of your emotions, and not dwell so much.....  They say, whatever we dwell on, we make happen......  so pull yourself together, be strong, and remember one day at a time.... Things work out in the end....  kids come back around.....

Very very rough age for both of you. My daughter was the worse of my 3 and I don't know how but I hated her so much at times and would sometimes refer to her as the B word but I loved her so very much at the same time. She broke my heart so many times.

Good side is now we are best friends now.
