You choose: movies or TV. Why?

TV is evil!! Even if you are watching family programing, your kids can't watch the commercials for other shows because they are too scary! Now, I love some TV shows, but we rarely watch TV. We don't own a TV, but we watch with my mom at her place sometimes.
We like to rent and own movies. We play them on our computer. That way we can really moniter what our kids see. I also like to buy TV shows that I love. We have Friends, and parts of The Nanny, My name is Earl, and Home Improvement. Now, some of these aren't for kids, we also have a large selection of kids shows though like Backyardigans.
Which do you choose?
