I think it's the quiet way my Mom reassures me when things aren't going so well.  She's never been a fan of my sentiments as she says it's too mushy.  OK, that's always been disappointing but like I said, her support comes in the sweetest, simplest ways and that's the nicest gift someone can give you.

My most beloved sentiment from my Mom believe it or not was a card that I received from her in college.  It was Pooh and Piglet holding hands after Piglet came up and took Pooh's hand.  Piglet said to Pooh, "I just wanted to be sure of you".  Love, Mom.  Not much for words, but as you all know, that's all there needs to be sometimes.  Sometimes nothing conveys the love in a better way.

I have that card in a frame.  Along with a photo of me when I was little with my Mom.  There's a picture from highschool graduation, and a picture of my Mom and I in my sorority house.  Which by the way, my Mom was totally against.

Oh my gosh, while I'm talking about her, I'm realizing as I say these things there's something even better she's done for me!  She raised me well.  She did the absolute best she could with what she had and her and I were still such happy little ladies.  She taught me through her strength.  Watching her grow and sacrifice and work so hard.

She gave me inner happiness.  She gave me respect for others.  Compassion for their feelings.  She taught me how to be a good friend.  Good manners.  Love for our elders.  Love for nature.  Love for children and BABIES!  She has brought me such light and love my whole life.  She gave me the purest gift of all - my life.

I'm blessed with her.  We all are.  Or perhaps the nicest thing was the even simplest gift, the perfect gift of us being blessed with each other.  : )  She raised me to see the World as a wonderful place.  Not to look at all of the bad that goes on because that's not what it's about.  She shined her light into me.  And I try to pass it on daily.  Even if just through keeping positive thoughts or a smile at someone who needs one.

She's always taught me to give.  When you give the love away, it always comes back to you.  You will never be without love.  Have an unwaivering faith.  It doesn't matter in what, just as long as you Believe in your convictions.  She's made the World a better place.  And my life.  It's my turn to give the light away.  Blessings Moms.  : )
