Nice things

I must say i think the nicest things ever done for me are done by my mom on almost every holiday. She always goes out of her way to make sure i am remembered on days like Valentines Day, Mothers Day, my birthday and Christmas. Both my boys are to small to even think about remembering mom let along buy something for me. So my mom always buys me something nice and gives it to me from the them. Sometimes its something simple like the grocery bag holder i really did need and new shorts and shirt i got last year for Mothers day or something fun like the two DS games i got for Christmas and then the really special gift like the diamond heart Journey necklace i got for Valentines day. My life as been a journey and not often a easy one of late but wearing that necklace "given" to me from the two people i love more then the world reminds me that its more then worth the trails i might go through. It also reminds me that even though my mom and i bump heads a lot she cares about me and tries to make me feel special on days that it really is nice to be noticed.

Mar. 27, 2008 at 10:40 PM i'm so glad that you have a mother who thinks about making you feel special.  i know what that's like.  if it wasn't for my mom during the holidays, i wouldn't get anything at all.  really, i think i'd be so depressed i probably wouldn't get out of bed.  do you ever mail her a card "just because"?  i mailed my mom one last week and it made her so happy she cried...
