POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Two South Florida women have filed a lawsuit against their former employer after they said he fired them for reporting a hidden camera they found in the women's restroom, according to court documents.
Angelique Wong and Barbara Lin, both former employees of World Imports International in Pompano Beach, claim in a lawsuit filed Thursday that they were wrongfully dismissed from their jobs after they told police about video camera hidden in the ceiling of the women's bathroom.
According to a police report, Wong called police around 10 a.m. on Feb. 21 after finding the camera. Police said that Spencer Krumholz, the company's Marketing Director, denied having any knowledge of the camera but then ran into his office and began tearing wires out of a wall and cabinet when police began to investigate where the wires connected to the camera lead to.
When questioned on what he was doing, Krumholz told detectives, "You will have to get a search warrant to unlock and look into that cabinet," according to the report.
Investigators said that Krumholz was argumentative and complained of chest pains while he was being arrested. Police said he told Wong that she was fired when he knew he was being taken into custody.
Krumholz was arrested and taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he posted $2,000 bail. He has been charged with Voyeurism and Tampering With Or Fabricating Physical Evidence.
Attorney William Julien, who is representing the women, said that Krumholz contacted immigration services and had Wong's work visa revoked the day she was fired. Wong was then forced to leave the country immediately, WPBF reported.
Videos of the women in various states of undress were found on the spy camera, according to the court documents. Wong also stated in the documents that Krumholz inappropriately touched her "on a mostly daily basis" while she was employed at the company.
According to the court documents, Krumholz allegedly told investigators that he had the camera placed in the bathroom because he believed that some of the employees were taking illegal drugs.
The women are suing World Imports International and Krumholz for $15,000 for lost wages and emotional distress.

This is bullshit! These women did nothing wrong yet they lost their jobs & one of them lost their right to be in the US! And this asshat pervert gets out on a lousy $2,000 bail! This is a great example of how screwed up our justice system is! I also think these women should be suing for a heck of a lot more than $15,000.
What do you think?
