Last night I was going through "charms bracelets" on wholesalers sites looking for some new products to sell when I had a wonderful idea.

My daughters are very little, I should start charm bracelets for them now and give them to my girls when they get older. I can add their favorite things for the next 18 years or so slowly maybe give it to them when they go off to college or get their first job or have their first child. Charms run between $5 and $30, so it would be hard to purchase all those charms at once. Two or 3 a year wouldn’t break the bank and it would be an on going project – as my girls get older they can even help me pick out the charms.

Does anyone do anything like this for there children?

Any other ideas of keep sakes we could make?

Mar. 28, 2008 at 10:47 AM my mom started a bracelet for my daughter and niece the day they were born.  The first charm was a birth certificate with their info engraved, then each special event in their lives she buys them a charm.  We have a cross for her christening, a bunny for easter, a cake with 1 candle for her first bday, etc etc.  They are great and pretty inexpensive. I love that it is something they will have forever to remember special events
