The Nicest Thing I have Ever Done.

Hmm...I have done something really nice recently.  My Grandpa passed away recently.  At Christmas, I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to get my widowed Grandmother.  What I HAD to get her for Christmas came into my head like a ton of bricks!  The gift barely got done in time for Christmas, so I did not have time to wrap it.  When it was my turn to hand out my Christmas gifts - I told my Grandmother to close her eyes.  She did.  I came into the room with her gift & asked her to open her eyes.  She did.  She immediately started crying.  I had a flag case hand-made for my Grandpa's Veteran's flag that she received at his funeral.  I went to Things Remembered & had them customize a plate with his name, military rank, etc.  Several months before that I remember going to my Grandmother's house to help her go through his things & asked her about the flag.  She said that she did not know what she was ever going to do with it?!  Now the flag case hangs in her living room for everyone to see & she is always happy to show it off...
