Sleeping through the night?

My son is now 9 months and he is still breastfed although he eats a lto of table food he is very greedy the problem is that he doesn't sleep through the nigght no more that 4 hours straight Im getting frustrated and feel that i am doing something wrong AM I

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Ihad the abnormal child that slept through the night from day one, i think its because he nevertook any naps but I dont know for sure

Well all of my children were sleeping all night  at 6months..........you may already do this but this is what worked for me........i gave them warm baths at night and fed them good a warm cereal bottle after that it was curtains.........now my oldest he was the hardest he would cry and pull himself up in the crib and cry and it was hard for me to let him cry as well......but then i put a little night light on an turned out the big lights and just let him cry and he would fall asleep but, i would not let him cry for a long time if he went to long i would get him of course.......but eventually he realized that i was not going to get him and he stopped crying and would go to sleep on his own...and sleep all night........

Mar. 17, 2007 at 1:16 PM yeah that sounds about right he does the same thing and he is a screamer he will holla until he starts losing his voice

Mar. 19, 2007 at 10:56 AM the warm bath is a great idea and try that lavender baby soap- i figure if it makes me sleepy, it might work on the baby too- the bath trick still works to this day and my kids are now 7,5 and 2- something about playing in warm water that wears em out- and i used the cereal in the bottle trick too- just not too thick or it wont come out the nipple.
