Autism Speaks has has launched Autism Votes, www.autismvotes.org, a website dedicated to Autism Speaks' grassroots advocacy program and the coordination of information and efforts on behalf of federal and state legislation. Autismvotes.org is a one-stop-shop to learn more about everything from appropriations for the Combating Autism Act, to autism insurance reform legislation in states around the country, to the Presidential candidate's autism platforms. The site also provides many ways to take action by sending an email directly to your state or federal legislator, as well as the opportunity to sign up with us to receive advocacy alerts and more information on advocacy via email.

Currently, several states (Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Oklahoma, Illinois, and Louisiana) have their own webpage dedicated to autism-related legislation within the state. Stay tuned to the website for news about when your state will have its own webpage up and running. Also stay tuned for features such as message boards and the opportunity to directly email your local Chapter Advocacy Chair (CAC) with questions or to become more involved in advocacy. Visit
www.autismvotes.org now, ‘It's Time for Lawmakers to Listen.”
