Ok don't get me wrong... I love love love my children. Now you know what a mom starts with that sentence that she is going to start complaining.. yes? Yes. Is it just me, or does anyone else have that amazing super hero power to turn invisible, and shockingly without even knowing your doing it?? Well let me know if that fits your bill... we will start a group.
Example: last night I said, "Ok boys... time to brush your teeth" then waited, and waited, and still waited for the slightest response or even sign of recognition - but apparently my "disappearing act" has kicked in... so I said again... "BOYS... time to go brush your teeth." - This time literally standing in the middle of the room and in front of the T.V.. and yet... nothing, my youngest tilted his head to one side however so he could get a better view of the tv screen... so I at-least knew he was awake. The last and final time I said it ... went like this: "BOYS! Get up stairs and brush your teeth right NOW!" complete with waving arms and red faced.. to which my oldest simply said.. "Calm down mom, we're going."
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Why dear god, do my children ignore me to the point where i turn into mean/nasty mom and have to YELL my words and make a big fuss just to be heard?? And don't even get me started about all the damn toothpaste that gets smudged all over the sink after the fact.. sigh... gasp... uncorks a bottle of wine and says... Ok, don't get me wrong here, I love love love my children.
