Okay, maybe I'm just too paranoid, but I have been experiencing so weird changes lately. I swear I think I"m pregnant sometimes, but I've taken 2 tests and the both came back negative. I have one baby, so I kind of know the pregnancy symptoms. I'm stopped breastfeeding in January and I have the Mirena IUD, so I still haven't had a period. Anyway, let me tell you what's going on and you ladies tell me what you think. Thanks!
Okay, we moved to a new city about 6 months ago and I was getting sick back to back. I'm pretty positive that was because of stress. I've also been diagnosed before with generalized anxiety disorder, but I don't have it bad enough to need meds. I just use cognitive skills I've learned and most of the time it's under control. Other than that I'm pretty healthy. So here about a month ago I started noticing that I'm getting this super woman sense of smell and everything is making me nauseous. I swear I walked into a Wal-mart and could smell perfume from 3 aisles down. It was so bad I had to rush to get what I needed so I could get out. Also I have this crazy pizza craving. For about a month all I have wanted to eat is pepperoni pizza and an order of bread sticks. I have this for dinner at least once a week. I'm sure it's great for my waist line, but it's all I want! Also, I've had really bad chocolate cravings. I'm talking crackhead-esq cravings. I actually dragged my dh to the grocery store so I could buy the Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix at midnight! Then I ended up being too tired to make it when I got home. And that's another thing. I'm so tired in the middle of the day that I usually fall asleep rocking my baby to sleep. I've also been having to get up to pee at least once a night, which I guess isn't too weird, but I never had to do that before. Also, my anxiety attacks have come back. I have had them pretty much under control since my baby was about 2 months old (he's 16 months now). I had attacks while I was pregnant and right after he was born, but I know they were due to my fear of this life changing event. Well, now they're back. I'm talking maybe 1 a day, where I used to have maybe 1 every few months. Even with the big move I didn't freak out. So is it just me or does this sound like pregnancy?! My IUD is supposed to be 99.9 % effective and both pregnancy tests have been negative. I'm going to the dr. next week because we are going to start trying for baby #2 soon. I'm 24, so I know it's not the big change. What could it be? Any ideas?

Did they tell you that IUD may have hormones in it? I remember when I was looking into getting the IUD, my dr. told me the IUDs release hormones, which could be making you feel a lot the same symptoms as pregnancy. Also, I remember when I stopped breastfeeding both of my children, I experienced a HUGE change in hormones. I felt moody, tired and fat because I was so used to eating so many calories. One more thing...have you considered that maybe the anxiety issues are causing the hormonal changes? This whole hormonal thing is so crazy. Sometimes it can drive a girl to drink. (of course, I wouldn't rely on that too much, haha, j/k.)![]()
If you stopped breastfeeding recently, that could be it. The influx of hormones. Don't believe the myth that you can't get preggo while BF (I did!).
Also, the IUD is only 99.9 % effective...you might be that .1%. Stranger things have happened.
Best wishes and hope you feel better soon. :o)
