I am at war with the sanitation dept!

I just emailed this to the city manager, mayor, guy in charge of the city garage, and all the council members..........hehehehe!

 

On Tuesday morning, I put my trash out as usual. I keep it in the back garage ( I have 2 on my property ) because I store donations for work

in the other garage. I had been going through donations and doing some spring cleaning so, I had a few extra bags that I had stuck in the garage.

When I returned home, I found that none of the trash had been picked up! None! I called the city garage thinking I must have missed some strange

city holiday only to find out that they have changed where to put the trash. Ok, no big deal but, how are we to know? I personally don't get the paper

or listen to the Ft Dodge radio stations. I also have satellite tv so, I'm going to know this how??? I'm also not the only person to have missed this since

everyone in my alleyway for several blocks still had their trash as did every alley I passed. I was told not to worry that it would in deed be picked up

and I agreed to do my civic duty and pass on the word.

Today being Wed, I expected that when I came home my trash would be gone or maybe my recycle at least. I'm sorry to report that neither were

taken! I am happy to report that while I was home for lunch,  the trash people did do nice slow circles around my block, a few u-turns in my

intersection and zipped by my corner a few times. They did however pick up all the neighbors trash that was there this am when I left. Now, if

I gave this kind of service at my job, I'm betting I wouldn't be there long. I have also had in the past my lids for my cans pitched over the fence

of the lady behind me, ( no wind involved ) I have had stuff not taken by recycle but, if I put it into the trashcan they wont take it either. I have now

2 bags that were ripped open by dogs roaming the neighborhood and a mess to clean up.

I have attached photos to show what I came home to. Please keep in mind I usually only have 2 or 3 bags or trash but, this weekend I was sorting

donations for the mothers program I work for. We all know that one persons treasure is another's trash. This is something I volunteer MY TIME to do.

I have no way to go to the dump. No place to put it now that I cannot keep my trash in back. I cannot drag it all to the front due to health issues.

( I have had 2 heart attacks last year ) I have done my duty as far as passing this on to my neighbors......... the good and bad of it.

Go get them sister.  THEY should inform you in a letter.  Our trash people would.  That is do they know how to write to there homeowners????  NOT!!!!!!!!!!

They deserve anything you dish to them  GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!
