Why did I wait so long?

I finally went on a vacation  without any of my children.  I went with my husband to the National School Board conference in Orlando.  All I did was  relax - by the pool, playing dominoes with friends, eating and enjoying the beautiful 80 degree weather.  I have never in my life felt so not-guilty to be enjoying myself.  My children all said that I  deserved the break and they were right.  Then when we came home yesterday, my four lovely children and two of their partners had given my kitchen and living rooms make-overs.   I loved it.  (Not so sure about dad!).  They did it because they love me  and for no other reason.   I am truly blessed!
