I got my collar last night!!!!!!

It finally got here! Compared to my temporary, removable one, it's heavy! I love it. What a great birthday presesnt! I was worried that the hinges would catch my hair and break it or pull it out. I have the longest hair I have had since I was 15...I am trying to keep it. It only caught once when Honey was locking it.

I took some pics for Honey, but I will take some more....more appropriate for CM! During the day I wear my temp collar in case I HAVE to take it off. I teach martial arts and I never know when I might get rushed to the ER and we don't want them cutting it off. Plus I am tanning for the wedding and neither of us want a collar tan line since we don't want our families knowing. Southern baptists, you'd think they'd understand!! Plus, can you imagine how hot that would get in the tanning bed? Stainless steel plus bright bulbs equals blister ring around the neck!!

I will post pics in a little bit. I am so proud. It makes me want to be better....does that make sense? The weight on my neck reminds me to choose my words wisely and care more....seriously, does that make sense??

I have a bruise on my neck from sleeping in a funky position with it rubbing up against me.

Apr. 9, 2008 at 5:52 PM hey i was doing journal searches on collars and yours came up.  ill have to check back when you get a pic.  my so and i are trying to find one thats somewhat discreet, but does lock.  i'm still pretty new to all of this, but we have already agreed that i should be collared.  let me know when u post pics.. i would love to see it!
