Passing Strange and Onward 'Round the Bend

It's me. I've been on something of a haitus... kidlets had a two week Spring Break, and the flu, and my computer was once again invaded by evil-minded pixies, thus causing it to buck all conventional authority and crash. That and my bonus son, who is now sixteen, has been in some trouble (oh, BIG shocker, right? haha NOT) and has been spending some quality time at home... alone... with me...

I have 33 new gray hairs.

I know. I counted.

So yeah. All in all, an eventful past few weeks. Erm... month. Or whatever the length of time I was away. It's all a blur...

Not that all of it was a trial, though. We did do some very fun things during Spring Break. Celebrated Ostara, for one. Dyed some eggs, and gorged ourselves on them the next day. Indulged in some reading for hours on end. Played round after round of Uno (of which I emerge as the Uno Mistress of All and Sundry, I will have you know). The park beckoned, and we sallied forth for some sliding, swinging, running around like manical fools, and nearly tripping over a rather LARGE gopher snake admidst the tall grass. THAT was freaky...

We also went to the San Diego Zoo, only the BEST zoo EVER. Spent an entire day admiring the animals, and, of course, taking picture after picture after picture. The best part was the elephants. Always the elephants. In my next life, I want to come back as an elephant. They are SO magnificent.

(I have a thing for elephants, can you tell? haha)

Now the kidlets are back in school, and the bonus kid is off death penalty grounding, and my computer is functioning... the evil-minded pixies have been driven back for a time, I think. Who knows how long... no one can tell *wink*. So I will enjoy the time I have with my computer until the next crash and burn.
