I'm thankful for not having boobs thrown in my face all the time by offensive and indecent breastfeeding mothers like the ones below:

Wait...Well, this is a bad example. Let's try again.

Hmm...Just a minute. I'm sure I can find better ones than these...

Eh, still not offensive enough. I'll check one more time.

That is better. LOOK AT THAT! I see about a half inch of boob. DISGUSTING.

UGH. Look at that indecency! She must be from some third world country to be exposed like that!

Now that's just...There are no words to descripe how inappropriate that is. Something needs to be done!

But why stop at breasfeeding women? There are boobs everywhere. Beware! If you thought the above photos were offensive, you WILL DEFINITELY be offended by the photos below.

Not this one, though. This one was in plain view on news stands and in mail boxes in 19 countries world wide!

Not this one, either. This one actually won an award!

Oh, and I guess this one is fine too. Everyone knows you can't sell jeans without someone being topless.

Or beer, for that matter.

Or sunglasses.

Or movie tickets.

Or CDs...

You know what? Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that someone mixed up some photos here. The first batch are offensive, but the second batch are just fine and dandy???

i was feeding my daughter at the mall the other day when 3 30-something women walked past, all 3 with cleavage for days and looked at me in disgust.  People need to get a clue!

Thank you for this post

Apr. 7, 2008 at 4:52 PM I am going to send this to my mom.  She had a stroke the other day when I told her to keep her eye out for spaghetti strap tanks... so I can layer and nurse whenever i need to.  She told me that I need to be taking her to my car or a bathroom if I am out in public.  BULL SHIT!

Great point!!!  I don't have anything against public BFing... it's a natural thing & I agree it is alot less offensive than those magazine covers.

My problem is that I am a shy person who really doesn't feel comfortable with the idea of people watching/seeing me BFing.  I ended up getting one of those AuLait covers.... they are soooo beautiful & allows me a little modesty.  They aren't extremely expensive & I thought it was a great way for me to be able to BF in public without all the dirty looks & curious stares.

Jun. 16, 2008 at 12:01 PM Clap, Clap, Clap!!!!  I applaud you and your very well written article. I would love to have your article made into brochures so I can hand them out to all those who give me dirty looks while I feed in public. NOTHING, however, will stop me from feeding my hungry baby in public, we eat in public, and I'll tell you, some people SHOULD not be in a restaurant eating, food all over the place, talking with food in mouth, other gross eating habits. So if they can eat in public, so can my baby. I don't flip my breast out, I am descreet about it, I respect others, and wish they'd do the same for all breastfeeding moms. Thanks Reeka!!!!
