Need some advice...

Hey all!
I have a 6 month old son. He has just discovered his privates. Which is fine, except that he grabs his balls and yanks them SO HARD it looks like he's going to pull them off!!! It looks so painful! I've never had much to do with babies so I'm not sure what to do...I don't want to discourage him from exploring, so do I just let him do it or try to stop him? Will he learn on his own NOT to do that? This probably sounds stupid, but I don't want him to have problems down the line because of how hard he pulls on them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

well even if you try to explain anything to him, i think his to small to understand,lol i have a son and i think they all go trough that, he will get over it, if you want you can do an ugly face, when he does that and say eeeeeeeeuuuuuu!!!!lol he'll get the message...
Try to keep his diaper on as much as possible. I doubt he will hurt himself, but I always felt better trying to distract them and started early, telling both my girls and my boy, that is to do in private in their room.
Also, you can try explaining to him that he needs to be gentle with his privacies (my sons word for his genitals when he was a baby... the word stuck in our family and now all of us call them that). If you have a cat or dog, you can teach him gentle and even at six months, they understand alot more than we give them credit for.
