There are Moms we meet everyday, who are bleeding emotionally, crumbling under the load they carry and never hear the words "I think you are wonderful" or I think you are doing a great job" Why? Because we don't think they need to hear them because they seem so strong.
There is a story about a famous singer who was to perform at a concert. The concert hall was packed. Suddenly there was an announcement - "Ladies and gentlemen, I regret that due to illness our special guest will be unable to perform this evening. We have however found another singer of equally great talent, so would you please give her a warm welcome." The crowd was so disappointed, they groaned so loudly nobody even heard the singer's name. The substitute singer gave it everything she had, but when it was over all she got was a brief scattered applause followed by an uncomfortable silence. Suddenly in the balcony a child stood up and shouted, "Mommy, I think you were wonderful!" Realizing what had happened, the crowd jumped to their feet and gave the singer a standing ovation.
So to all you Cafemoms I just want to say, "I think you are wonderful". I know from experience that it is not easy being a MOM. I am glad that we have this forum to encourage each other when the going gets tough. What we do, we do selflessly for those we cherish most, our children.
