My husband and I found out that our 13 month old daughter, Kylah, that the dry patches on her body which looks like psoriasis was actually caused by a milk allergy.  Kylah's doctor told me how I could make rice milk so that I wouldn't have to buy it, but it has become such a hassle to make (takes a long time).  We tried buying the Rice Dream for her, but noticed that it is 99% fat free & we know that it is vital for children to get that fat in their diet for development.  Is there anyone out there that knows of a lactose-free milk for babies/toddlers that isn't a fortune??  Please help.

Apr. 17, 2008 at 10:32 AM Thank you for the comment.  I went to the store last night and got her some soy milk -- two 1/2 gallon cartons (had them packaged together so as to save a little) was almost $7!!  I couldn't believe it!  I bought 1 gallon of milk for my husband and I @ $3+ and her's was more than double that.  Crazy!
