STRESSED OUT ABOUT THE ARMY HOSP.

I AM SO FUCKING STRESSED OUT ABOUT THE ARMY HOSPITAL HERE LAST NIGHT I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WITH MY YOUNGEST AND FOR THOSE WHO KNOW ME AND A BIT OF HIS BACKGROUND THEN NO NEED TO EXPLAIN A WHOLE LOT BUT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW MY YOUNGEST HAS SEIZURE EPILEPSY , IMPULSIVE ADHD, AND DEPRESSION WELL ANYWAYS LAST NIGHT I TOOK HIM TO THE HOSPITAL CAUSE A NEW THING OCCURED HE WAS FREAKING OUT HEARING VOICES THAT WERE SAYING -- THEY WISH HE WAS DEAD OR THEY HOPE HE GETS HURT OR THEY HOPE HE DIES SO I STARTED FREAKING OUT MORE SO ON THE INSIDE THEN ON THE OUTSIDE I DIDN'T WANT TO SCARE HIM ANYWAYS HES SCARED AFRAID TO BE IN A QUIET ROOM HE WANTS LOUD NOISES OR VOLUMES UP ON TVS SO HE CAN DROWN OUT THE VOICES SO HERES MY ISSUE WITH THE HOSPITAL I SAT THERE FROM 8PM TO 1AM BEING SEEN BY ABOUT 4 DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS THE LAST ONE THAT CAME IN SENT HIM HOME WITH NO FURTHER TREATMENT OR ANYTHING (INSTRUCTIONS, WHAT TO DO , HOW TO HELP HIM , WHAT TO DO IF IT GETS EVEN WORSE) THE DOCTOR SAID SINCE THE VOICES WEREN'T TELLING HIM TO HURT HIMSELF OR HURT ANYONE ELSE THEN HES FINE WHAT THE FUCK HES FINE A 9 YEAR OLD HEARING VOICES IS FINE THIS BOY IS SO SCARED OF THESE VOICES HE SITS HERE CRYING ASKING THEM TO PLEASE STOP AND THERES NOTHING I CAN DO FOR HIM I HATE DARNELL HOSPITAL FOR THIS SO CALLED HELP THEY GAVE ME I HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE ALL MORNING TRYING TO GET HIM AN APOINTMENT FOR SOMEONE TO SEE HIM I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO FOR THIS BOY

I don't know what to say, sweetie. I'm so sorry that your son suffers from such illnesses. You are strong for I would break down in such situations. Keep keeping up! He'll be in our thoughts and prayers. We'll pray YOU strength!

Apr. 17, 2008 at 4:56 PM Is there anyway to change him over to Metroplex?  I know of a few people who have children with psychological issues and they are all seen at the Metroplex hospital.  I hate Darnell the doctors aren't the greatest and seriously over worked and they just don't care a lot of the time.  I hope things get better for you and your son.

I would try to find a doctor outside of Hood in either Killeen or Cove that takes Tricare and get some opinions from them. This is obviously a serious issue and needs to be treated as one.

Hey I am a so sorry about your son!  You are a strong person to deal with something like that!  I would suggest trying to find a psycisian outside of Fort Hood.  I hate Darnell and I hate any military hospital!  My own DR sent me all the way to Austin to deliver Emma instead of going across to Darnell.  That should tell you how trustworthy they are!  I would def get an outide opinion.  I hope it works out!

I am soo sorry to hear that your son is dealing with this. I know about Darnell and they suck so freakin bad..I hated having to go there. What advice I can give you is that my cousin was going through the same situation but she was older. Your son needs to see a specialist and needs to be on medication. Or atleast that is what they said to her and its helped her alot. she doesn't hear the voices anymore. I think you should contact tricare if you haven't already and tell them you want to take him somewhere else. I really hope things get better for you. Stay strong..
