I really LOVE to make my daughters baby food. It's easy and being a stay at home mom, I seem to have plenty of time. Alot of people have asked me if it's hard to do and it's not! It's really easy! Here are some photos:

Working with pears, sweet potatos in the back.

Green beans and avocados I made last night, ready to pop out and put in a freezer bag

Pears are steaming

Pears in the mini chopper. I use the water I steamed them with to thin it out a little.

Perfect Pears!

Apparently, Sara is afraid of the sound of the mini chopper!

So the whole production is being moved...

...to the garage!

I hope you all enjoyed my photo journal!

Apr. 18, 2008 at 12:50 PM That is great! I am going to make one too! Just out of curiousity, why do you steam the pears first?

Apr. 20, 2008 at 7:28 PM Thats awesome! I want to do that with this baby because the jar food is so expensive plus has those yucky preservatives! What do you do with it after you pureed it and stick it in the ice cube trays?

After they're frozen (which I freeze overnight) I pop them out of the trays and put them in freezer bags. Then you just take a couple cubes and heat them up. You can mix and match too!

May. 17, 2008 at 12:12 AM I guess it's too loud. She's ok if I'm holding her, but if she's in the high chair or living room, I don't think she knows where its coming from.
