We Ate Left Over CAKE BATTER!!!

About an hour ago I put a cake in the oven and I took what was left of the cake batter to my husband and said;

"Would you like to take a step back in time to when you were a kid?"

His first question was;

"are there raw eggs in it?"

OF COURSE!

There were raw eggs in then!

Somw time ago some co-workers talked me into eating cake batter again.

At first I was apprehensive, but I soon realized that when I was a kid, EVERY time we made a cake we always ate the left over batter and we Lived.

 Although my co-workers told I should not make the cake and just eat the batter.

I said no because my family loves my cakes!

So does anybody else who should read this eat cake batter or raw cookie dough?

I have NEVER ate Raw Cookie Dough!

LOL I used to do both as a kid!!! I still do every now and then, but I try not to. I never had a problem, and it's fun and yummy!!

I eat both all the time, and I have never had a problem.  I've made batter on may occasions and never actually got around to baking anything, I just ate the batter.  Besides, almost all eggs are pasteurized now, so your chances of getting anything are all but zero.  Check the egg carton if your not sure.  Unless you have an allergy, you should be just fine.  Well, okay, the fat and calorie count will be through the roof, but if you plan to eat the cake anyway, what is the difference?

I don't eat cake batter beyond licking the beaters or scraping the bowl after I pour the batter into the cake pan. But, I love cookie dough!! DH has asked on a few occasions, "Doesn't this recipe say it makes 60 cookies? How come you have only 50?" Um...well...my cookies are bigger? Nope! LOL
