Ok...so Earthday is just about here! There are tons of things going on this weekend. Me, personally I chose to participate in something local.....very local. There is a creek clean up going on in Elk Grove. We have quite a few creeks running through here and they are terribly polluted. I see it everyday when I walk the girls to school. My girls notice it too. They ask me why people throw their trash in there....I don't ever know what to say to them. I can only tell them that we are going to go clean it, and they are super excited......so, I can tell you this. To all of my SAC friends, there are so many clean up things going on all over our area, and it would be great if you got involved.....it is a great thing to get your children involved in, and you get to make a difference.......so, with that I am off, and out. I am so tired and need to get some rest for tommorrow. Peace out!!!!!!!

Good for you and your children! It is always a good thing to know that Moms are teaching their babies about the importance of keeping this planet as clean as we can and those that don't are doing everyone a huge disservice! I am going local myself. This town does a "clean sweep" and picks up the debris and trash "downtown" that is somewhat neglected. I have gotten several neighbors together with their kids to do some basic walk around the neighborhood cleaning and end at a park a few blocks away and really clean their. After all, it is where a lot of the children play. We are having a covered dish and are stressing recylclable containers and plates and utensils. It started small and has really taken off! Hopefully it will keep the awareness up throughout the year. You go Uggs! Be sure to tell those kiddies that there are other Moms out here that are proud of them too!
